Good

1. I am really enjoying Texas. Especially the glorious weather. Today is the first day I've needed a jacket and apparently this cold spurt will be over by early next week.
2. I have been finding time to draw and this makes me very happy.
3. I am getting a puppy soon!
4. I have really great friends. I am fortunate to have friends in many places, of many ages and with many different perspectives.
5. Chris will be home form training by next week - if all goes well.
6. There is a promising online computer animation program that I have been looking in to that perfectly suits my needs. I just need to locate the funds (always the hard part, but not impossible).

Bad

1. My family is dysfunctional. Short version: My uncle is missing. I have not had much contact with this side of the family, but wanted to be "the bigger person" and offer to help distribute the missing persons flyer. This apparently has caused ridiculous amounts of drama. When I contacted the person in charge of the flyer I mentioned that my relationship with my father isn't great because of my parents' divorce. This has apparently embarrassed my (jerk) of a father. It's not like I described how he abandoned his family to run off with a woman who is 15 years younger than him. I'm not upset by my father's reaction, but that I tried to be a good person and it bit my in the butt.

2. I do not really know what to do about the above situation. Part of me just wants to cut off all contact, but something about that just feels wrong. Shrug


In summary, the good outweighs the bad and I'm sure I'll be over the bad stuff in a few days. I feel better already just writing it down. Funny how that works.
